Adult Services
The Adult Services Department of the Louisville Public Library exists to help patrons
meet their information and reading needs. To meet this goal, librarians:

Choose and order nonfiction and fiction materials.

Purchase new and updated materials.

Assist patrons with locating materials throughout the Adult Department.

Create or bring in programing for our Adult patrons.
Reference Department
The Reference Department of the Louisville Public Library exists to help patrons meet their
information needs. To meet this goal, librarians:
- Answer reference questions, using both print and electronic resources.
- Assist patrons with using the Internet.
- Assist patrons using the library catalog to identify and then locate library materials.
- Assist patrons in borrowing materials from other libraries located within the state of Ohio.
- Assist patrons who need to register to vote by making voter registration materials available.
- Provide patrons with tax forms, FAFSA forms, and HEAP forms.
The department is staffed during all hours of library operation. Please feel free to call the Reference
Department (330-875-1696, ask for Reference) or stop at the Reference Desk to see if a librarian can assist you in
any way.
