World War I Vets Honored

The Louisville Public Library has on display approximately 125 photographs of World War I veterans from the Louisville area. These men and women were included in the book Honor Roll of Ohio 1917-1918, Stark County Edition.

The book is dedicated “to the sons and daughters of Ohio who have valiantly served their country’s cause in its hour of need.” Along with the photographs, basic information on date and place of birth, parents, marital status, date of entry into the military and basic service information is included.

We hope you’ll take the time to stop in and look over our tribute to those who served almost one hundred years ago. The exhibit will be on display through November.
