2008 Titles Chosen for Thursday Evening Book Club

The list of books to be discussed by members of the Thursday Evening Book Club has been announced along with dates for the meetings.

Marti Livingstone will lead the discussion of the books beginning with Garlic & Sapphires by New York Times food critic Ruth Reichl on January 24.

Other books to be discussed are:

  • March 20: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
  • May 15: The End of the Alphabet by Claudia Rankine
  • July 24: The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
  • September 15: Founding Mothers by Cokie Roberts
  • October 16: Nisei Daughter by Monica Sone

Louisville Public Library also plans to participate in the One Book, One Community program sponsored by the Mayor's Literacy Commission and Friends of the Stark County District Library. The discussion date and title will be announced at a future time.

Multiple copies of the books will be available at the library.
