For donations by check, please make the check payable to The Louisville Public Library.  If you would like your donation to go to a specific purpose, please write that on the memo line.  We also ask that if your telephone number is not printed on your check, that you write that in as well.

General Donation

Making a general donation to the Louisville Public Library helps to support your library. General donations can be made for any amount and can support any of our services. If you would like your donation to go to a specific service department (Adult, Children's, Teen, or Audio/Visual), you can specify which department in the special instructions at the time of donation.

Building Fund

Help build Louisville's Public Library for the next generation. By contributing to the 21st Century Building Fund, you are helping to ensure that our library remains a place in our community where anyone can access resources to help enrich their lives.

Discovery Center Repair Fund

Help maintain Louisville's past. By contributing to maintain the Discovery Center, home of the Sensory Space, through the Old Post Office Repair Fund, you are helping the Louisville Public Library provide much needed repairs to one of Louisville's oldest and most recognized landmarks.

Pet Memorial

The Pet Memorial Fund is a lasting way of remembering a beloved pet. Donations of $25.00 are used to purchase a book. Each book is specially marked with a gift plate inscribed with the name of the pet and the donor. If you provide a library card number, the book will be placed on hold for you to check out. If you treasure the memory of a beloved pet and want to share your love of books with others, we invite you to contribute to the Pet Memorial Fund.

Memorial or Tribute Gifts

Pay tribute to relatives, special friends, and others with a gift in their honor. Your contribution will help enhance the outstanding programs and services provided by the Louisville Public Library.

The Louisville Public Library's Honor with Books program offers a distinctive way to acknowledge someone who has made a difference in your life while at the same time supporting the Library.
