Louisville Community Cupboard accepts all kinds of nonperishable food items, though they particularly appreciate June's target item peanut butter, as well as these items:
- canned beans
- dry beans
- peanut butter, and other nut butters
- rolled oats
- canned fruit in juice, not light or heavy syrup
- canned vegetables, low- or no-sodium
- low-sodium soups
- canned tuna in water
- canned chicken
- brown rice
- quinoa
- nuts, unsalted
- seeds, unsalted
- shelf-stable milk and milk substitutes
- whole grain pasta
- low-sodium pasta sauce
- popcorn kernel (not microwave popcorn)
- canned stews
- unsweetened applesauce
- whole-grain, low-sugar cereals
- olive or canola oil
- canned tomatoes
- dried fruits, no sugar added
- honey
- chicken, beef, and vegetable broth and stock
- any other non-perishable food item
As part of our Summer Reading Program for 2023, we're collecting donations for community organizations! Every 2 weeks, we'll collect a different item for a different organization. Here's the donation list with dates:
- June 5 - June 16: Peanut butter (Louisville Community Cupboard)
- June 20 - June 30: Leggings in Adult sizes XS - XL & Sweatpants in Adult sizes S - XL (Louisville Middle School)
- July 3 - July 14: Dog & Cat items (Stark County Humane Society) For a full list, see below.
