Cool Things to Do @ LPL!

We love paper books and they will always be our mainstay.  But your Library offers so much more!

With your free Louisville Library card, you can access terrific (even unique!) materials and services.

Check out this list of unusual, cool things to do at the Louisville Public Library!

Available to Borrow

Recreational EquipmentBorrow pickleball equipment form the Library!

As you know, we offered ice skates over the winter, but now that spring is here, we're changing out our recreational equipment offerings.

  • Pickleball Equipment  Have you wanted to try the new courts at Aljancic Park?  Here's your chance to try out this very popular sport for free!
  • Disc Golf Equipment  Wildwood Park has a disc golf course, and the Louisville City Schools are using a grant to install a course around the Middle School/High School campus. Get out in nature, and try disc golf!

Wifi Hotspots  Borrow one of these little boxes, and as long as there's cellular service, you'll have  free high-speed wifi for your devices!

STEAM Kits for kids ages 4 and up  Thanks to a generous grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, we're delighted to offer these Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) kits. Each kit offers children a fun, engaging, hands-on experience.  Each kit is labelled with the content area and age recommendations.

Playaway Launchpads for kids ages 3 & Up (Launchpads for ages 8 & Up added just this week!)  Launchpads are self-contained, preloaded educational tablets your kid will love!  Packed with popular characters, engaging activities, and fun games, Launchpads are great travel companions, because they don't need wifi.
